Agrivoltaics as a new trend in energy

A 16.4 MW solar power plant has been commissioned in Austria, which combines electricity generation with agricultural land use. This project demonstrates the possibilities of agrivoltaics, where solar panels are installed in such a way as to preserve access of sunlight for agricultural crops.

The plant will produce enough electricity to supply approximately 5,000 households, while supporting traditional agriculture. Such projects are becoming increasingly popular in Europe due to their cost-effectiveness and environmental sustainability.
